UKEC proudly presents our first Teh Tarik session for the term 2019/2020, in collaboration with Edinburgh Malaysian Student Association (EMSA) and Heriot-Watt Malaysian Society (HMS)!

Our esteemed guest speaker will be Dr Zaid Omar, Director of Holistic Student Division in the Ministry of Education. He has been a key player in the Education Ministry in promoting the empowerment of Malaysia’s students through various policies and initiatives as he believes that university students play a crucial role in nation-building and as an effective stakeholder in the higher education ecosystem.

There will be a question and answer (Q&A) session, so if you are interested to find out more about student activism in Malaysia or political involvements on campus, this event is the right one for you! Light refreshments will also be provided.
